Collie trip coming up on the upcoming long weekend!!
Plans unchanged, meet at the Potters Gorge camping area for a 9.30am start on saturday.
The spot is $10 per night paid to the ranger no bookings. Its an open site so should be plenty of room. Website suggests its suitable for vans. Basic toilet facilities.
4x4ing. (Subject to change)
Sat: 1st section is a challenge but achievable for slightly modified cars. Level 3/5. Second section is for the big cars level 4/5 and a winch is recommended. There will be an exit prior to the second section.
Sunday: Level3-4/5. Lots of chicken tracks lots of gnarly tracks. Any slightly modified car can tag along easily on this trip. Plenty of challenges for the big cars.
Im heading down friday. Will snag a good spot and keep everyone posted.
Snatch strap, recovery points and a first aid kit are minimum. Winch recommended but not a requirement.

21st Sep - 5th Oct Karajini School Holidays trip. Trip exploring Karajini NP and camping in the park. Trip leader Kent. Level 2/5
24th Sep long weekend. Collie Trip. Camping at Wellington NP meeting for 9.30 am briefing Saturday at Potters Gorge. Driving sat and Sunday. Level 4/5
All trips have a minimum requirement of rated recovery equipment (snatch shackles and damper) and a first aid kit. A winch is recommended for a portion of the collie trip.
